NEXT STEPS

Jesus calls us to make disciples of all nations. The word ‘disciple’ is more than just going to church on a Sunday. Whilst many of us are content with church on a weekly basis, Jesus has called us to more than just believe in him.

Salvation only requires belief, but life doesn’t stop when you’re born. It doesn’t stop when you start school, graduate, get married, have kids, and doesn’t even stop when your kids have kids. There is always something more, there is always a next step. Our journey with Christ is no different, and it only gets better.

At Destiny Christian Centre  we want to see people move forward in their relationship with Jesus. Just as a child is encouraged and supported when first learning to walk, people require support and encouragement in moving forward in their walk with Christ.

When it comes to moving people forward, ask the question: “How can I help you?”It seems simple, but it’s actually a open-ended question that gives people the room to easily answer whatever they want.

Perhaps your next step is joining a Connect Group, or volunteering for a service, signing up for a theology course or getting baptized. Maybe it’s even as simple as coming to church next week. No matter what it is, everyone has a next step.

AtDestiny Christian Centre, we would love to know How can I help you.

Jesus said to make disciples, but we must not forget that as we make them, we still are them. It’s not just new people that have a next step. It’s not just new Christians that have a next step. All of us have a next step, including leaders!

Having the humility to understand really helps us serve people in our church. Ultimately, our goal is not just to grow in numbers but to ensure our congregation grows in maturity. Moving people closer to Christ, one step at a time.  So, what is your next step?
